The English language consists of 26 letters, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y and Z. English is thought to be one of the most complex languages because these letters can be used interchangeably as some of them can make the same sounds. For example, I and Y sometimes make the same sound as E. In addition to that, in some words, there might be silent letters. For example, the P in Psychology. And there are many more technicalities that sometimes make it hard for beginners to grasp the language.

Adding even more to the complexity of the English Language is the fact that there are so many versions of it that is used across the world. The two main English versions are the British and American English. For the purpose of this website, both will be used in our lessons, and as such, both will be accepted in your responses to our questions.
